Privacy Notice
Last updated: 29 June 2026 · Data controller: The Juliva Space (SAS) · info@thejulivaspace.com
The Juliva Space respects your privacy and handles your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name and email (e.g. when you join the waitlist or make an enquiry).
- Booking details — travel/arrival information and room preference.
- Health & dietary information — any medical, mobility, allergy or dietary details you share so we can keep your weekend safe and comfortable. This is sensitive (special-category) data and is handled with particular care.
- Photos & videos — images taken during a retreat or day reset, used on our website and social media unless you tell us otherwise (see below).
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your contact and booking details to communicate with you and to deliver your retreat (performance of a contract). We process health and dietary information only with your explicit consent, solely to provide activities and meals safely. We use waitlist details only to send you occasional updates, with your consent, until you unsubscribe. We may take and use photos or videos of you on our website or social media on the basis of our legitimate interest in promoting The Juliva Space, unless you notify us in writing before your retreat that you do not wish to be photographed or featured. You can object to this at any time, including after your retreat, by emailing us; we'll stop using new images of you and remove existing ones from our own channels where reasonably possible (we can't retrieve content already reshared by others).
Who sees it
We share only what is necessary, on a need-to-know basis, with the practitioners and chef delivering your weekend (for example, an allergy the chef must know about). They are bound by confidentiality. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
How we store and protect it
Your data is stored securely and access is limited. Sensitive health data is kept only as long as needed to deliver your retreat and is then deleted or anonymised. Marketing/waitlist data is kept until you withdraw consent.
Your rights
You may access, correct, delete, or port your data, withdraw consent at any time, or object to processing. To exercise any right, email info@thejulivaspace.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
