Cancellation
Cancellation & Travel Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
We want booking to feel calm and fair. This policy explains deposits, cancellation charges, and what happens in the rare case a retreat can't go ahead or needs to change. It applies to our weekend retreats and one day resets in France and Switzerland, and it sits alongside — and never below — the statutory rights you have as a customer of a registered travel operator under applicable law.
Deposit & balance
Your place is reserved with a deposit of 20% of the price. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your retreat. If you book fewer than 14 days before, the full price is due at the time of booking. Your place is confirmed once the deposit is received. If the balance is not paid by its due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.
If you need to cancel
If you cancel, the following cancellation charges apply (deducted from amounts already paid; if the charge exceeds what you've paid us, we will invoice you for the difference):
- More than 60 days before: cancellation charge equal to the deposit.
- 14 to 60 days before: cancellation charge equal to 50% of the retreat price.
- Fewer than 14 days before: cancellation charge equal to 100% of the retreat price. At our sole discretion and subject to availability, we may permit a transfer of the booking to another guest nominated by you, or to a future retreat.
These charges are our policy and sit on top of the statutory rights you cannot be deprived of.
If we cancel
We reserve the right to cancel a retreat if minimum participant numbers are not reached. Where we cancel a retreat, our liability is limited to a refund of amounts paid directly to us for that retreat — we are not responsible for any other costs or expenses you may have incurred (for example flights, trains, hotels, childcare or annual leave). Alternatively, and at your choice, we will offer you the option to move to another date, in line with your statutory rights.
Changes to your retreat
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the advertised itinerary, accommodation, instructors, activities, schedules and venues where necessary due to operational, safety, weather or other practical considerations. Where necessary, we may substitute accommodation with accommodation of a comparable standard. Such changes will not ordinarily give rise to a right to cancel or receive a refund, provided the retreat remains substantially as described.
Exceptional & unavoidable circumstances
We shall not be liable for cancellation, delay, modification or interruption of a retreat resulting from unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, transportation disruption, government action, labour disputes, utility failures or security concerns. We will always communicate clearly and promptly, and will work with you to reschedule or refund in accordance with applicable law.
Travel insurance
Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel, medical and cancellation insurance. We strongly encourage adequate coverage before booking — it protects you for circumstances outside this policy.
Attendance & participation
No refunds are given for late arrival, early departure, missed activities, missed transfers, unused accommodation, or any part of a retreat not used by the participant. We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove a participant from all or part of a retreat where reasonably necessary for health, safety, legal or behavioural reasons; no refund is due in such circumstances.
